Such things as wheelchair ramps for handicapped guests may not always be possible to construct. Old fashioned architecture may prevent it.

Most bed and breakfast inns do their utmost to make themselves handicap accessible and some have quite ingenious solutions to such arrangements.  The ramp as shown on the right is a common solution while the wheelchair lift show to the left is sometimes installed when there is no space to build a ramp.

There is a wide range of solutions for a bathroom that would be friendly to handicapped guests, ranging from special sink installations that allow their use from a wheelchair to walk in tubs and hand rails conveniently placed around the room.
